Oregon Senior Games to Return to Corvallis in August 2022

After hosting a first year of successful events in August 2021, Visit Corvallis is excited to have the Oregon Senior Games return to the City again this summer. Most of the events will be held over the weekends of August 11-14 and 18-21, 2022. With another National Senior Games event occurring in 2023, the Oregon Senior Games will once again act as a qualifying event for the National Senior Games that will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the fall of 2023.

The Games are open to athletes of all skill levels who will be at least 50 years old by December 31, 2022, who wish to compete in the sports offered.

“As a member of the National Senior Games Association, we are dedicated to motivating active adults to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement,” says Morgan Baker, State Coordinator of the Oregon Senior Games. “Our participants encourage one another to do their best whether they are a first-time competitor or a seasoned athlete. You can really feel the community and support at these different events.”

Registration is expected to open in March 2022 with an early-bird discount offered until mid-June. Competitions will include archery, bowling, cornhole, cycling time trial, disc golf, golf, pickleball, power walk, race walk, road race 5k, shuffleboard, soccer 8v8, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
