Oregon Senior Games: Basketball

Here’s the most current information on the Oregon Senior Games’ Basketball event.

Check In Begins – 8:00am
Games Begin – 9:00am
Captain’s Meetings – 15 minutes prior to each game
Players can show up at their leisure for their shooting competition (must be paid in advance).

Registration Deadline: Monday July 28th, 2025
No on-site registration is authorized for any events.
All players must be able to show proof of age at check in.
Teams must have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 5 team members.
Age divisions for teams will be determined by the age of the youngest player as of December 31, 2025.

The 3-on-3 basketball will be a pick-up Tournament.
If numbers are conducive, teams will be divided into pools within their age divisions. Within each pool, a round robin will be played. At the end of the round robin, teams will advance to bracket play.
The tournament director reserves the right to alter the format based on number of teams.
Officials do not put the ball in play except at the start of each half.
Two timeouts are permitted per team per half.
Players will call their own fouls.
Modified 12’ free throw line is available for 75+ women and 80+ men. If captains of teams in these age groups agree prior to the game, they can play (2) 12-minute halves instead of (2) 15-minute halves.
Shooting competitions will be done in accordance with the NSGA Rulebook.
- Free Throws: 25 shots
- 3 Point: 3 shots from each of the 5 locations
